Ramadan New Start, New Chance
Ramadan is not only a Holy month in the Islamic year but also a real chance and a life-changing month for Muslim and the whole Ummah. The Holy month of Ramadan is so special in everything. It is special in its merits, graces, acts of worship, reward, feelings and gatherings. It is a start of a new life and brings mercy, joy and hope. So seize its moments for better changes in your life as it comes only once a year.
Graces of the Holy month of Ramadan:
1- Quran revelation:
Quran is not only the last Holy book, but a percious gift from Allah to Muslim Ummah. It is the guide, the light, the healing, the wisdom, the source of revelation. It was revealed to the Prophet in the Holy month of Ramadan. As Allah said," The month of Ramaḍān [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion ". (2:185)


2- Month of fasting:
Fasting is one of the Islamic pillars and best acts of worship that makes us close to Allah. It is a limitless reward, a shield from the hellfire, prefect time for Dua answering, an epiation of sins, and an intercession. Allah shows its greatness in Hadith Qudsy " Every act of the son of Adam is for him except fasting. It is done for My sake, and I will give a reward for it."
3- Two joys:
The Messenger of Allah said: "There are two joys for the fasting person: the joy when he breaks his fast, and the joy of when he meets his Lord."


4- Great chance for Allah's forgiveness:
We all seek and need Allah's forgiveness and Ramadan is the golden chance for it. As the Prophet warned whoever attends Ramadan without gaining Allah's forgiveness said," May he be abased who passes through the whole of Ramadan before his sins are forgiven him".
5- Opened gates of paradise and closed gates of hellfire:
What a great news! Gates of heavens are opened! The prophet said,"When Ramadan comes the gates of the Garden are opened and the gates of the Fire are locked, and the shayatin are chained."


6- The best night ever:
Ramadan has a night which is better than a thousand months. Laylatul Qadr It is the holiest night of the year for Muslims. This night commemorates the night in which Allah revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad. In the Quran, Allah says that this night is better than one thousand months, making it more holy than any other night. So you should observe this night with prayer and believe that on this night Allah will hear you , forgive your sins and answer your Dua.
Ramadan's special acts of worship:
Ramadan should be a positive turning point for every Muslim. 30 days of self-discipline can help you to gain good habits for better life. In Ramadan, Allah the Al-mighty has given a chance for us to do good deeds as much as we can to gain limitless reward we can't even imagine.

Reciting and learning the Holy Qur'an:
In Ramadan, The Holy Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammed. Moreover, Jabril used to teach the Prophet the meanings and legislation of the Holy Qur'an. So the Muslims scholars came to the conclusion that reciting and learning the Holy Qur'an in Ramadan is the best act of worshipping. So make Ramadan special learn Quran, recite it, understand its meaning, and live with its teachings. Make Ramadan a turning point in your relationship with Quran. Qiayam al-Layl in Ramadan:
From past till now, Muslims perform optional night prayer (tarweeh) which means rest and relaxation. Qiayam al-Layl in Ramadan after `Isha’ is called taraweeh because righteous people before our time used to rest after every four rak`at as their prayers were lengthy. Taraweeh is sunnah mu’akkadah (aconfirmed practice of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him).

Giving sadaqah:
Follow your prophet's guidance in Ramadan. As Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was the most generous of the men; and he was the most generous during the month of Ramadan.

Making sincere repentance to Allah:
Make intention to stop all bad deeds and to start making good deeds instead. Allah said," Surely good deeds wipe out evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful" (11-114)

Making Dua:
Make Dua list in Ramadan. Ask Allah for everything you need as Ramadan is one of the best time for Dua answering. The Prophet said that amonge three whose supplications are not turned back: a fasting person until he breaks his fast.
To sum up, Ramadan is a special month in every single aspect. In Ramadan, Allah shows great mercy and forgiveness to His creation. The 30 days of this Holy month are a chance to benefit from their immense blessings and seek salvation and forgiveness for our Creator.
